Using Corner Space Effectively in Your Home, Apartment, Or Office

I never have enough space despite having a relatively large home and office. A lot of the reason why is that a lot of space goes unused or is unused effectively. Example include attics that do not have easy access, closets that are a simply a disorganized mess, as well areas like under the bed which are ideal for some longer term storage.

To make matters worse, we all seem to be becoming pack rats to some extent. Most of us have some junk that should be thrown away as well as useful objects we no longer use and probably never will use that should be donated. Going through your belongings regularly reaps big benefits in terms of tidiness and more storage space.

One very underutilized space tends to be corners. Not all corners are great for storage but many are and you can increase your storage space as well as often add beautiful decorative touches to your home by using corners. Wall shelves can be placed in the corners, many are designed specifically for the purpose, and hold and display collectibles, trophies, books, and other attractive objects. You can also place cabinets in the corners for storing just about anything. These shelves and cabinets can even be stacked to increase space or placed high, above an easy chair or other piece of furniture for example. Another idea is to use a wall mount to use the space for a computer monitor or flat screen TV.

The ideas are almost limitless, and you can get more utility and add nice decorative touches by using corners effectively.
